Personally, I love reading how characters back themselves into corners, even the kind with no moral codes to speak of, because sooner or later that character will need to get themselves out of that corner and when they do those slippery morals are so fun to watch as they spin them around. Please make sure to read her TW’s if this kind of book makes you pause. Definitely Shantel’s darkest to date, where she delves into lots of morally gray territories. I’d like to call Sin and Elli toxic, but their relationship is their own kink and probably the only thing non-toxic in their dark world. Walking the dark line in this world means opening yourself to the devil and the devil has his eye on his own personal demon.
